Wintry, Rainy Sydney

My life is nothing but essays and cups of tea right now – busy busy busy. While I’m squirrelling away, Sydney is settling into Winter, which is all sorts of wonderful, albeit rainy. I’ve been feeling cosy in capes and stockings and berets as I flit ’round uni. Mmm!

Until I find time to photograph some of my more wintry ensembles, here’s a snapshot of an outfit I wore earlier in the semester for a Darcy Society afternoon tea. Navy and red! I have such a weakness.

Top Cabbages & Roses | 1950s Skirt The Attic | Belt Review | Shoes Clark’s | Hair Flowers Sportsgirl | Badge Darcy Society

If the rain persists, I’ll be wearing gumboots in my next outfit post (which wouldn’t altogether be a bad thing). In the meantime, I send my well-coiffed, vintage love to you all.

Baking in Blue

Today I baked:

Oh la la – check out my Shepherd’s Pie. I lined a cake tin with shortcrust pastry, filled it with leftover Bolognese from last night’s dinner, added mashed potato on the top plus a sprinkling of grated cheese, and cooked it in the oven for fifteen minutes. Mmmm.

Dress: Basque, Myer
Belt: C’s Flashback, Crown St
Shirt: borrowed from Mother – Ralph Lauren
Snood and Bow: Arthelia’s Attic
