Michelle

I’m a student and vintage girl in Sydney, Australia. I spend my days flitting about in petticoats, drinking chai lattes in quaint cafes, and rereading “The Great Gatsby”. I’m a francophile, a period drama nostalgic, and an amateur swing-dancer.

  1. You are lovely!!!! Thanks to have visited my blog “Lost in the 50’s”.
I love to see young people wearing vintage…. Australia seems to have a lot of 50’s and vintage addicts. I hope to go soon in Australia but it’s a long trip from France, I think perhaps in 2013 (because 2012 will be for US vacations…).
You learn french, that’s good!!! Have you ever been in France?

    • Merci ! The feeling is entirely mutual!

That would be swell if you came to Australia! It’s such a long trip, but you would love Sydney and Melbourne. In the meantime, I’ll enjoy reading your blog 🙂

Your style is positively smashing! If fashion is our “armour” (per your Bill Cunningham quote) then you are a top drawer “Chevaleresse” http://www.heraldica.org/topics/orders/wom-kn.htm

So glad we found you through Twitter (bless you internets!)

    All good wishes,

Hello fabulous ‘vintage’ girl. That was a lovely breathe of fresh, exciting air you brought with you on your visit to River Dreams Gift Shop on the Marina in Brooklyn.
Love your photos, particular favourite is the ‘Peppercorn’ coat in front of Xmas lights in the snow. (Memories of ‘pink’ woollen Harrods coat circa 1967, very short with hat to match and long long boots in the snow – what fun!)

Love the blog! I’m not sure if you’ve seen the historic houses trust website lately but there’s a familiar face on the front page…

Hello, I really like your blog! It really inspires me to take on vintage and retro as a lifestyle. I’m curious as to how you do your hair though, it’s really lovely! Perhaps you could put up tutorial? 🙂

  8. Greetings Michelle,
I really enjoyed reading through your biography. I love the fact that you’re a “Vintage girl” as we have such beautiful cultural traditions that should be cherished and passed down to future generations. Take great care and all the best with your studies and of course swing dancing 🙂
    God bless

  9. Hi Michelle, I just wanted to let you know that I included you in a blog post on inspirational outfits – hope it’s ok.
